This is a screenshot of a Tinychat I was involved in. Tinychat is an online video chat community. Anyone can join a video chat session if they go to the link that it is being hosted at. While video chatting, you can also type messages in a group chat. Although some people join chats with random strangers, I have a network of friends throughout the world that I've known through writing poetry and fiction, and we tend to stick to Tinychatting each other. Sometimes people will sit silently on camera and not be very involved, and other times people will chat a lot, talk on camera with their mics on, or play music through the mic. Tinychat, a platform of new media, allows us to be creative when we are bored or don't feel like going outside to socialize.
Superb! What a great way of meeting new people. This platform can effectively be used for school group projects. Most students are extremely busy and sometimes can't meet up for mandatory projects. This however, is a great work-around.
ReplyDeleteTinnychat is a simple, quick setup, easy to use, lower resource requirement, URL sharing online chatting application but the only thing i don't like is the video is not nearly as strong in quality as Skype.
ReplyDeleteI like your screenshot of Tinychat. It is very interesting to chat with random strangers. We can share different ideas, similar thoughts or learn almost anything from random people. I use Google Hangouts to chat with my friends who live in different countries. It makes me feel connected with others, even through I live far away from them.
ReplyDeleteI like this screenshot. It might be very useful especially in school when you have to do a group project and of course no one have a time to meet. Then you can sit at home and talk with all at the same time. Also, as you have a group of friends and cannot meet with them because of the bad weather, it might be a great idea to talk with all of them and not be bored.
